Dont give up", " Persevere", " Jiayou" may sound
cliche. But did you know that sometimes, a word of encouragement actually means a lot? It's especially true at times when you're on the verge of giving up and see no meaning in carrying on, and there comes this constant reminder that you'll always be supported and that giving up wont make things better. It helps. And in the same way, we should constantly motivate and encourage our friends to strive towards their goals/dreams.
The Exams are an inevitable phase of education- be it whether you're in Poly, JC, MI, ITE or any other institutions. And if you're thinking of escaping them,
dream on unless you'd like to engross yourself in your own world and escape from reality, that is. So since we've got to entertain this oh-so-horrifying period which haunts us at least twice a year, why not live up to it and face it? Each time you feel like giving up, think about the blissful period which comes after that. Think of all the shopping, chilling, clubbing, traveling, & all other things which you're craving for, and once you pass this hurdle, you're free to conquer all. (:
Apart from all these tangible motivators, what matters most is actually the intrinsic motivator- it may not be seen or touched. Instead, it's felt. And this is none other than the sense of achievement and accomplishment. As long as you put in your best, you shouldn't have regrets. What more can you say when it's already your best? Of course, we often blame ourselves for not noticing several details which cost us a bomb and that we should be more careful the next time round. Unfortunately, these mistakes still recur. What can I say but thats how human beings are.. No one's perfect and we all make mistakes. Setting goals are good, but be sure to set SMART goals in order to avoid disappointment. [specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, timely]
All in all, I just wanna tell all my friends out there that
Mel loves you and never give up! :D To those in poly, its just 2+ weeks more to go and we're free from stress for
seven weeks! And to those in JC/secsch, way to go for prelims/promos/Os/As! And remember: it's not the end of the world even if you perform below your expectations. Learn from mistakes and improvise them the next time round. :)

It seems like I've just given a BMGT lecture on motivation. Well, I just felt like blabbering all those out and I hope that it's of some help to all my darlings out there. We finally completed the basics of Rumba last night and I'm loving it! (: Afterall, its the dance of love. Ha. But melvin said that we were dancing as if its the dance of hatred, and then Ali and I started demonstrating how Rumba'll look like if it's really the dance of hatred. Funny la. Heh. So now its really time to go full blast cus its 8 days to our first paper; ITR. Dance shall be put aside till Sunday, where we'll have our last s.p lesson at s&g before we break for exams and official dance class will start on Aug 28. Till then, Jive's coming up! :D It's definitely gonna be utterly difficult to survive without dance class for 2 weeks but I'm gonna persevere! &shoutouts: To NPDS- Mel loves you guys truckloadssssssssssssssssss! muack-
