labels: 23o3o7- a day that i'll never forget in my whole life.

today marks a very significant, or should i say saddening event in pj. at least for us scappers, cos we've officially 'graduated' from scap. which means that there won't be anymore scap meetings, events of whatsoever.. ( count the personal outings out ) though attendance wasn't full, we got together for the last time as one, as SCAP. together with 7th, we reviewed the events which we went thru; friendship day and o2. as wilfred and lewis presented that AARs, a thousand thoughts buzzed in my mind. thoughts of the hardwork that we've put in, thoughts of the actual event. thoughts of everything just flooded their way through. and the best part was when we had to get into our groups, close our eyes and self-reflect as mr tong guided us with questions.

i can still rmb the day i had scap interview.. nervous as i was, i stepped into the interview room only to see fauziah and yihan smiling at me. i answered the questions truthfully and confidently, and sang the college anthem proudly before stepping out. however, i was kinda shocked that i got in cos there were 80 odd interviewees. what shocked me more was when i was told during the 2nd GM that i was the esprico head with joyce. at that moment, i was totally lost. i didnt expect such a post, nor did i have any confidence in myself.. i duno why but its totally different from being head of discip in yhss cos i didnt have that many responsibilities. i was in fact doubtful of my ability, especially when yihan sent me all the past proposals. at that time, i felt that its almost impossible to plan such things but God created us to adapt to circumstances. like what others say, there's always a first time in doing things and it was my first time planning such an impt part of orientation- games.icebreakers. the committee contributed by giving ideas but the sessions with the teachers were the most unforgettable! imagine u being bombarded by tons of qns which have never ever crossed ur mind, and the only thing that u can do is to smile. ;D its no doubt scary, but i must say that such experiences were enriching and inspirational..

as o2 neared, the committees began working closely together and all thanks to ogl camp that we started getting close. after OGL camp and just before o2, we were alr like glue and after o2, we were inseparable! :p the opack packing was definitely fun and at the same time tiring. but nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves! and although parts of o2 didn't run smoothly, the overall orientation was a success! cheers*

i miss planning. i miss rushing proposals. i miss meeting deadlines. i miss mr tong's scoldings. i miss dance practices. i miss songs; cheers. i miss dining with the scappers every nite after orientation. i miss our sakae day. i miss kboxing with u guys. i miss EVERYTHING! especially the dance part; seowhuan and zhilun: u guys have been great dance ICs, and to nat, farhaan, jeremy, and the 2 of u, i miss our dance sessions together..

as i thought of the above mentioned, i was brought back to reality cus i know that all these will never EVER happen again. not in this life at least. i chose to head to poly because of my not-so-intelligent-mind. if not for this, i would have stayed. i wana join 8th s.c. i wana be a part of my dearest esprico. i wana be with the scappers. i wana be part of council. ): but all good things has to come to an end and i believe that this is what God has planned for me. so, i have only the choice to keep these precious memories in my heart FOREVER. scappers + councilors: fret not. cus you guys have all played a VERY important part of my life. i'm glad that our paths crossed and if fate allows, we'll be together in future.

and because i teared halfway while expressing myself just now, i didn't complete my words.. the scapper whom i'll like to thank is natalie. girl, u've always been there for me to cheer me, to tickle me, to brighten up my day. ur laughter and high-ness has brought fun to my life, especially to my experience in esprico. ur cheers were wonderful, and thanks for crying with me.. its a pity that u weren't here today but i just want to say THANK YOU! to yihan: i really need to thank you. thanks for being my mentor. thanks for guiding me these 3 months. thanks for trusting me even though i wasn't present for the trial. thanks for listening to my woes and complains. thanks for being such a nice friend and sister. thanks for all ur meaningful advices. thanks for everything! i love you! <33

i've seen myself grow ever since i joined scap. before, i was one who won't speak up and initiate things. but after joining scap, i've learnt to endure, to persevere, to lead, to manage time, to plan properly, to sacrifice ... and the list goes on. well. i'm just grateful that i joined scap and it has really been an enriching experience. lastly, i would like to say a big THANK YOU to mr tong, miss lee, miss xiao, miss nura, 7th student council and of cos, my fellow scappers! i love u guys to the max! (:

-once a scapper, always a scapper.
